Safety Protocols

High-Angle Technical Competence: Deo Tibba is not a trek. Climbers must possess prior high-altitude trekking experience (above 15,000 ft) and should ideally have completed a Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC) or peaks like Friendship Peak. Proficiency with crampons, jumars, and abseiling is mandatory. Crevasse & Rockfall Mitigation: The couloir leading to the Duhangan Col is vulnerable to afternoon rockfall during sunny days. All movements through the couloir and across the glacier are strictly scheduled during early morning freezing hours. Turnaround Cutoff (TAT): A non-negotiable summit turnaround time of 9:00 AM is enforced. Any climber who has not breached the upper snow dome by this hour must reverse course to prevent descending through softened, dangerous snow slopes in the afternoon
