Objective Hazards & Serac Mitigation: The West Face/Ridge route passes beneath active hanging seracs and rockfall zones. All movements through the couloir and lower icefall are strictly scheduled during early morning sub-zero hours when the mountain is frozen solid. Turnaround Cutoff (TAT): A non-negotiable summit turnaround time of 10:00 AM is strictly enforced. Any climber who has not breached the upper snow slopes by this hour must reverse course with their dedicated guide to prevent rappelling through melting, rockfall-prone afternoon couloirs.
